EUBACTERIA> PROTEOBACTERIAE> CHLOROSULFATAE> CHLOROBACTERIA

We follow the system of Margulis and Schwartz (1998) and Garrity et al. (2001 and 2003) who recognize the unique nature of the green sulfur bacteria. The Kingdom Chlorosulfatae has a single phylum, Chlorobacteria and a single class.
