HIERARCHICAL CLASSIFICATION OF THE PHYLUM GNATHOSTOMULIDA (AX 1956)

Taxonomy of the phylum follows the taxonomic system of Brusca and Brusca (2003). However, because of confusion with their name for the phylum (Gnathostomulida; Brusca and Brusca, 2003) and a typical class name, we have left the class unnamed.

This phylum has a single class and two orders.

  • Gnathostomula, Problognathia, Haplognathia, Pterognathia, Austrognathia.
