William Ettinger

On December 2, 1862, William Ettinger died in Harrisburg. He was in Company G of the 172 regiment of the Pennsylvania Drafted Militia.

Ettinger was a farmer from Beavertown and was 26 years old when he died. The only detail of his death found in the usual records is that he “died of injuries by the Provost Guard at Harrisburg, PA.”

He was six weeks into his nine months of conscripted service.
