In a 500-word paper, explain how Nancy Emerson’s diary entry fits into the Elizabeth Varon’s portrayal of reactions to the Emancipation Proclamation.

PRESENTATION (due 8/31)

In a 2-minute presentation, provide an overview of your assigned portion of Varon’s Armies of Deliverance.
Four guidelines:
1. PowerPoint is mandatory (submit a 1-slide PPTX by noon on the day of your presentation)
2. use notes during the presentation (don’t wing it), but don’t read the screen (if you’d like to have a full script, it should be about 300 words)
3. highlight what you think are the key takeaways—don’t fill that slide up with too much text!
4. include at least two specific pieces of information (names, dates, ideas, events, etc.)
