Crystals have been used as objects of protection, protectors of energies, for healing, and often surface in many spiritual practices. Cultures all over the world have connected crystals to their belief systems, and their use has surfaced as part of rituals, holy texts, and to provide spiritual and bodily protection. Some crystal origin stories pay homage to the use of crystals in Atlantis, spreading from there out to other cultures to protect them from harm. Some contemporary spiritual practices involving crystals include some Native American traditions, pagan religions, and the new age movement.

Hematite
In Ancient Mesopotamia, they used hematite to inscribe images and phrases. These would often depict important life lessons. It was also believed to bring protective properties.
Jade
Jade was highly regarded in China. Around 1,000 years ago Chinease emperors were buried in armors of Jade. It is considered to be a lucky stone and is known as “the stone of heaven.”
