Do’s & Don’ts of Museum-Based Internships

  • While sometimes they are hard to find, paid internships are incredibly important.
    • They will be the most beneficial for you so that you can focus all your time and energy on something that will pay you for your labor.
  • Do not rule out unpaid internships; keep them in mind to apply early so that you can receive university funding.
    • Michaeline Shuman (shumanm@susqu.edu) manages and helps students apply for enrichment funding.
    • If you apply early, and qualify, you can receive funding for travel, mileage, and even full income replacement.
