Crystals & Science

This is a crystal sun catcher. When hung in windows it casts rainbow specks though the house.
It is important to know which crystals can go in the sun and which cannot. For example, Fluorite can’t go in the sun, the color fades, it gets very hot, and some crystals can even crack. It’s important to know which element helps your crystals’ energies.

While there is no indisputable science on the effect crystals have on our energies, there is evidence that they can help us feel calmer, and could help us through sickness even if only through the placebo effect. Some maintain that crystals get their energies from the moon and sun, both of which affect our world. Many believe that because they are formed in the earth through chemical energies and use the Earth’s resources, they vibrate with the earth to promote healing and wellbeing.

Almost all crystals can be charged in the moonlight. It is important to charge your crystals so they are at full power. When they absorb too much negative energy, they weaken.
