My name is Heather Lang. I am an Assistant Professor in Department of English and Creative Writing at Susquehanna University. In addition to my teaching responsibilities in the first-year writing, Publishing and Editing, and Honors programs, I currently serve as the Writing Coordinator for First-Year Writing and Writing-Intensive Courses and as the Director of the Common Reading Program.
Prior to my appointment at SU, I completed my PhD in English–Rhetoric and Composition at Florida State University, where I also earned a minor in media studies and a specialty emphasis in disability studies.
I’ve been fortunate to engage with writing, reading, and the making and sharing of knowledge at a variety of institutions in a variety of positions. This portfolio showcases some of those experiences, and serves as a complement to my CV.
