University of South Florida – Florida Center for Institutional Technology

This website was created as a resource for teachers of the Holocaust of all ages. It gives historical information about the Holocaust, provides victim and survivor stories as well as information about everyone involved, and gives information on the affect of the Holocaust on the arts and other media forms.

Western United States

Illinois Institute of Technology –

This website exists as the manifestation of the Voices of the Holocaust Project. The goal of this project is to maintain and share the audio recordings of Dr. David P. Boder. These recordings were made by Dr. Boder in 1946 as he traveled through European refugee camps interviewing survivors of the Holocaust.

The site is very well-constructed, and was clearly designed by a professional. The audio files are easy to access and are very clearly and deliberately organized. They hold a veritable treasure trove of personal accounts of the Holocaust, and there is much to learn from the hours and hours of recordings present in the collection, which include English transcripts and lengthy biographical information on the interviewee.

University of Southern California –

This website was created to share the work done by Anthony Anderson, a Librarian at USC, and to educate viewers on the subject matter. His work is focused on the Holocaust’s impact in the Netherlands. In particular it focuses on the need to study this area of the Holocaust, as it is much less discussed than others.

This website is generally poorly constructed. It is one continuous wall of text, broken by a few small pictures, which is hard to navigate.

The information, as well, is rather poorly cited, as the bibliography is very lengthy, and there are no citations in the content itself.  Perhaps some of this poor construction can be blamed on the fact that this page was created in 1996. However, from a high-caliber university like USC, one would expect a more well-kept and professional site.
